This privacy policy sets out how Bevan Evemy Solicitors uses and protects any information that you supply when you use this website.

At Bevan Evemy Solicitors we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients and visitors to our offices who come for a free 30 minute appointment or visitors to our web site. Information you give us.

In dealing with clients, other legal professionals and other parties in the course of our business, we most commonly obtain personal data consisting of names, physical and electronic addresses
and telephone numbers.

We may obtain personal data from you when you contact us or visit our offices, including when you call us, get in touch with us via our website, or when you correspond with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. The information you give us may include your name, contact details address, e-mail address and phone number financial and credit card information, personal ID at the time of setting you up as a client.

Special Categories of Data

If you are our client, for certain types of cases this may include special types of data such as information about criminal convictions or offences. Where you are our client, third parties, such as Counsel/Barristers or medical professionals, may disclose Special Categories of Data to us or information about criminal convictions or offences.

Google Analytics

When someone visits www.bevanevemy.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our
website.

How long do we store personal information?

It is our policy to retain your personal information for the length of time required for the specific purpose or purposes for which it was collected. All files are kept for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with the SRA Regulations.

However, on occasion we may need to store some data for a longer time if required by law.

We must maintain a record of your name, your contact details, the name of your matter and when your file was opened and closed even if you request us to delete the electronic records of your matter.

If we keep personal data for a longer period than is set out in our terms of business, we will ensure that your personal data will continue to be treated in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored in our offices or an off-site secure storage. Electronic storage of data is provided by Law-Ware and has been approved as a secure system for keeping your information protected. Any payment transactions by Credit or Debit card will be processed securely by Worldpay.

Confidentiality

We will maintain the confidentiality of and protect your confidential information in accordance with all applicable laws and our Terms of Business.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes although at Bevan Evemy Solicitors we never use any data we hold for this purpose.

If you wish to :-

  • Access, confirm, correct, rectify, update, supplement, anonymise, block, restrict or delete your personal information or,
  • Object to our use of your personal information;
